In 2024, the Brazil-Germany Workshop at Green Rio / Green Latin America will have as its theme: “Bioeconomy, Ocean Economy and Bioenergy – On the Path to Decarbonization”. This year’s meeting is supported by the Consulate General of Germany in Rio de Janeiro and will be held on November 1st, Friday, the second day of Green Rio. Since 2017, the Brazil-Germany Bioeconomy Workshop has been held at Green Rio, in a partnership between the governments of Brazil and Germany. The 2024 edition will have a new format, with representatives from Brazil and Germany, and the content of this meeting will discuss G20 themes and the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).

CEAL (Business Council of Latin America) in partnership with Green Rio 2024 in two moments:

A) on October 30, 2024, CEAL will hold a Cocktail Party at CASA G20, Av. Vieira Souto, 176, Ipanema;

B) on October 31, Friday – CEAL Panel on Latin America in Geopolitics and the Global South. Ingo Plöger, president of the CEAL Brazil chapter, will be a speaker and moderator of this panel, which will feature other CEAL members, in addition to the participation of APEX, the Brazil-Africa Institute and the RIO2030 Authority.

Speakers from the OECD, Denmark, Sweden, Luxembourg,
Australia and Portugal will also participate in Green Rio 2024,
in person and/or virtually, discussing Bioeconomy,
Decarbonization, Biomes, Innovation,Blue Economy,
Food Security and Circular Economy.
