Check out CREA RJ’s participation in the Green Rio / Blue Economy Rio Summit.

The Regional Council of Engineering and Agronomy of Rio de Janeiro (CREA-RJ) was one of the sponsors of Green Rio / Blue Economy Rio and presented its main programs both in the event’s schedule and exhibition.

The president of CREA-RJ and engineer Miguel Fernandez participated in the opening of the event, highlighting environmental issues and agronomy in relation to the themes of Green Rio / Blue Economy Rio. The CREA Aqui event was also held at Marina da Glória, being a pioneer in the state, uniting engineering, technology, innovation, and culture.

Professor Ofélia Araújo from the Polytechnic School of UFRJ, a chemical engineer, participated in the Brazil-Germany Workshop in the annual panel that strengthens the dialogue between the two countries in bioeconomy and sustainability. Professor Ofélia is recognized as one of the most influential researchers in the world in her disciplines.

Civil engineer Mickaela Midon participated representing CREA-RJ in the Sanitation and Bays panel. She is the administrative coordinator of the CREA-RJ Women’s Program. At the exhibition, CREA-RJ presented its main programs. The Sustainability Program encompasses environmental, social, and economic themes. The Women’s Program aims to create inclusive and equitable environments for women engineers, agronomists, geographers, geologists, and meteorologists.
