See how the “WIPO Green Project and Intellectual Property” panel went.

The WIPO Green and Intellectual Property panel, held at Green Rio, presented results from international initiatives and innovation in the bioeconomy for Brazil. Irene von der Weid, head of the Industrial Property and Innovation Studies Division at INPI (National Institute of Industrial Property), presented the Strategic Intelligence Study on Innovation in Biofertilizers, highlighting technological trends, opportunities, and the role of industrial property in consolidating this market. Renata Ribas provided information about the WIPO Green project, sharing her recent experience at the World Expo in Japan.

Following this, Fábio Ramos, from Agrosuisse, presented consolidated results from the WIPO Green project, whose Phase 4 concluded in 2025. The company has been responsible for consulting in Brazil since Phase 2. The panel also featured the special participation of Alida Bellandi, president of Guarany, an innovative company that has been present in various stages of the initiative with its technologies and connections.

Closing the panel, Pedro Veillard, from the State Secretariat for Economic Development of the State of Rio de Janeiro, highlighted the creation of the Center of Excellence in Fertilizers, which will be inaugurated in the state.
