Pre-COP30 and Echoes of COP30 with Green Rio

The Green Rio COP30 Seminar is scheduled for September 2025, where the initiatives that will be promoted during Green Rio 2025 will be presented. The venue scheduled for the event in Rio is the same one where the G20 House of the State Government of RJ held activities.

During the Green Rio Summit, from November 27 to 29, the COP30 ECOS panel will be held. Experts who participated in COP30 will be on this panel, discussing the mistakes and successes, possible scenarios and challenges of COP30, as well as expectations for the next COP.

Towards COP30 at ABAG

On the eve of the conference Towards COP30 – Agribusiness and Climate Change, under the leadership of ABAG president Caio Carvalho and with the support of CEAL (Latin American Business Council), a meeting was held to promote a dialogue on key issues in the international and regional agribusiness scenario in the current context.

Caio Carvalho invited Ambassador Roberto Azevêdo, President of the International Initiative for Brazilian Agribusiness – ABAG, to be the keynote speaker at this meeting. Ambassador Roberto Azevêdo was the director-general of the WTO (World Trade Organization).

Among those present were former Minister of Agriculture Roberto Rodrigues, former Secretary of Agriculture of São Paulo, Francisco Maturro, and former Minister of Agriculture of Argentina, Marcelo Regúnaga.

Maria Beatriz Bley Costa, president of Green Rio, is part of the Latin American Business Council, and invited those present to Green Rio 2025, from November 27 to 29, at Marina da Glória.
