The debate on the panel \u201cBiomass as an opportunity for industrial development: challenges of implementing biorefineries in Brazil\u201d addressed strategic issues for the advancement of biorefineries in the country, such as product diversification, the full utilization of biomass, the integration of circularity into production processes, and the regional insertion of biorefining. The presence of representatives from government, industry, and research allowed for the gathering of different perspectives from the so-called Triple Helix of innovation, enriching the discussion.<\/span><\/p>\n

The panel highlighted Brazil’s enormous potential in utilizing available biomass and biodiversity. The effective implementation of a systemic vision of biorefining in Brazil can boost productive diversification, with bio-inputs and bio-products applicable to multiple economic segments, in addition to contributing to increased economic circularity and regional and social development in the country.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
