The Cooperative of Special Coffee Producers of Boa Esperança had its origin in the Associação Comunitária dos Costas, with 49 producers from the rural area of Boa Esperança, MG. In 2008, these producers decided to create a Cooperative to meet the requirements for marketing coffee. Currently, the cooperative has 212 members, of which 88% are family farmers living in rural areas and most of them are located on the slopes of Serra da Boa Esperança.
